Bansko is a beautiful, traditional, historic Bulgarian town situated in the South West of the country (approx 160 kms from the capital Sofia) at the head of the Pirin National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Chalet Orbelus, Bulgaria's first fully catered ski chalet, is a recently renovated luxury chalet offering panoramic views of the Pirin, Rila and Rhodope mountain ranges, situated at the south end of Bansko, approximately 700m from the gondola and about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Owned and operated by Simon and Joy Applebee, we offer a chalet that is a home from home. It is ideal for family groups, but smaller groups are most welcome.

The comfortably furnished lounge with a central open, wood burning fire, also houses a TV, video player, Playstation 2 (some games are available), DVD player (which can also be used as a karaoke), along with a selection of DVDs, karaoke DVDs and videos. A CD player and radio is also provided for your entertainment; however, please feel free to bring your own selection of films, CDs and PS2 games if you so wish. Additionally, a selection of board games and books is available

The chalet has a separate dining room where all the guests can sit round a large table to enjoy a relaxing meal at the end of a hard day on the slopes

The chalet ranges over 4 floors. The basement provides secure storage for skis, boots and snowboards as well as a laundry, drying room, WC, sauna, shower and two person Jacuzzi bath. The ground floor comprises the lounge, dining room, kitchen, guest kitchen, WC and en-suite twin bedroom. The first floor is given over entirely to sleeping accommodation. All rooms are en-suite providing shower, WC and sink; a hairdryer is provided in each bedroom. Towels are provided in all bathrooms, the sauna and the Jacuzzi

Note: Chalet staff have one day a week off when you will be obliged to each out in one of the many local restaurants.

The second floor is our personal accommodation and out of bounds to all guests.

Please note, we operate a strict no-smoking policy within the chalet. However, guests who smoke are most welcome and are free to smoke on the balconies and in the chalet garden.
